Tree Growing - Stop Motion Process Photos
The photos here portray a tree growing from just a seed. The story leads from left to right and then down to te next line. We took these photos to get an understanding of how our tree is going to have to be made for our final project.
Storyboard for 1st Stop Motion Project
This is the storyboard for the actions we (Alli Burnett, Brooke Taylor, and I) are hoping to accomplish in our project. It portrays the story of a tree growing from just a seed and living throughout the four seasons until its life is cut short by an unfortunate event.
Final Stop Motion Countdown
This is the final stop motion countdown from 3 to 1 using play-dough as our medium to accomplish the desired results. The program used was dragonframe and we got all sound clips from freesounds.org. Finally, we edited the sound clips in audasity and finalized the video in dragonframe.
Stop Motion Countdown Process Photos
The objective that my partner Alli and I were trying to achieve is movement with clay taking consecutive photos of the clay in different locations on the plane. We used this skill to complete our short animation.

Notes: 3 Stop Animation Videos
Stop Animation Films
1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpWM0FNPZSs&noredirect=1
This video deals with the use of stop animation using post-it notes to tell a story. The video isvery fluid and flows together real well. I like it becasue of the simplicity and the music fits the playful/colorfull teme portraye by the post-its.
2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovvk7T8QUIU&feature=related
This vieo intrigues me because it uses eveyday household items and creates an animation that any generation can relate too. Having something that the audience can relate too such as Space Aliens (the cupcake, muffins, and candle scenes) as well as the PacMan scene with the pizza and play dough allows for more audience connection.
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5IqwECL6bo&feature=relmfu
Seeing this vdeo allowed me to undestand that you can make someone move in stop animation without them appearing to "step" or anything, it almost gives them the appearance of sliding across the ground. I really enjoyed the effect that gave off and hope to utilize it in makig one of my own short clips.

"Winner Takes All"
Me, Brooke Taylor, and Alli Burnett combined in making this short stop motion animation for our VIST 206 studio class instructed by Hwaryoung Seo.
